Allyson van den Herik is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University, where she studied Biological Sciences. A former atheist, Allyson came to faith in Christ in 1998 when God opened her eyes to the reality of his existence. As the culmination of ten years of research, The Shortest Leap is the book that Allyson wishes she could have read when she was an atheistic student at Stanford.
Allyson also has an MBA from UC Berkeley, with an emphasis in High Tech Marketing, and has extensive experience in the field of Internet marketing. In addition, Allyson's marketing and sales career has included many opportunities for public speaking and doing interviews, which she is happy to do to promote The Shortest Leap.
In addition to being a mom of two children, Allyson serves on the Board of Joy to the World Ministries, a nonprofit that provides for the physical and spiritual needs of low-income communities.
